Overall, I used this scanner in professional full-manual mode with relative ease, with the exception of having to individually toggle "off," then "on," each photo enhancement attribute to apply them to the photo in the preview window (the check-boxes should have indicated which enhancement attributes were going to be applied when it was preview-scanned). The scanner and it's software was easily installed, I didn't read anything on how to use it.it was pretty self explanatory for me since I've used many different scanners in the past. I purchased the Epson V200 Perfection scanner after doing a little research on the internet. Although, some of these features did not provide the quality of image restoration as I was looking through all of the function modes, I did not have a problem creating a quality image file in professional, full-manual mode. My HP scanner recently failed after years of constant use and I had to find a quick replacement. Scanning modes provided function from full-auto to professional, full-manual for scanning, cropping, sharpening, color restoration, and dust/scratch removal. Downloading the utilities from Epson Support, they installed without flaw. Although a slightly older model, this scanner performs equally as well as the Epson Perfection V600.
